Privacy policy

  1. Sandridge Securities Pty Ltd ACN 626 947 779 (SS) takes into consideration your rights in regards to the collection, use and storage of personal information. Personal information means information or an opinion about you where it is possible to ascertain your identity from that information or opinion.

  2. On 21 December 2001, new laws came into effect to protect the privacy of your personal information. SS will manage your personal information in accordance with the law and the Australian Privacy Principles (subject to any other overriding provisions of law) and as specified in our privacy policy.

  3. Our privacy policy will change if the law changes. This policy is to be read subject to any overriding provisions of law and contract.

  4. We take our privacy obligations seriously. Our Managing Director Simon Birch has the overall responsibility of ensuring that our firm complies with our privacy obligations.

  5. All the personal information provided by you is collected by SS and or its related entities. We may also obtain personal and other information from some third parties such as accountants, solicitors and other organisations who have referred you to us or you have authorised us to speak to about your financial dealings.

  6. We only collect personal information that is necessary for us to perform our functions. The personal information SS collects from you and other authorised sources is necessary for us to perform our services to you as our client. The personal information Sandridge Securities has collected or may collect in the future may include any or all of the following information (this is not an exhaustive list).

    — Your name, address, contact details, date of birth, place of birth, if you are an Australian Citizen or if you are a permanent resident of Australia;
    — Your email address;
    — Your tax file number, your ABN, or if a company the ACN;
    — Details of annual income, expenditure, tax returns, pay slips and employment;
    — We may ask to speak to your accountant and or solicitor if necessary;
    — Details of your assets and liabilities;
    — We will perform a credit check;
    — Details of any other investments you may have;
    — Details or specific transactions;
    — Details of your investment objectives and risk profile;
    — Details about your health and family;
    — Whether you have a spouse, partner or children; and
    — Your insurance status.

  7. We will assume you consent to the collection of your personal information in the manner specified in this privacy policy until you tell us to the contrary.

  8. You are entitled at any time to request access to your personal information held by us about you and to ask us correct this information where you believe it to be incorrect. You may do this by contacting us in writing and we will advise you on the procedure to do so.

  9. The purpose and use of the personal information is to enable us to assess any request from you to make any loan application. We will then forward the application containing your personal information to an appropriate financial institutions who may lend you the funds you have requested.

  10. This personal information will assist to assess loan products and applications from a variety of lenders and or investors

  11. Keep you informed on matters that may affect or be related to your financing needs.

  12. In order for Sandridge Securities to provide you with the service you require in the procurement of a loan (finance) we will be required to provide that personal  information to Third Parties such as Banks and other financial institutions. It would not be possible to provide these services without being able to provide your personal information to these Third Parties.

  13. Sandridge Securities undertakes not to trade, rent or sell your personal information. SS may only disclose your personal information to Third Parties for the purposes specified in this document.

  14. Sandridge Securities undertakes as required by law that should the storage of your personal information be compromised to inform you immediately and the steps that have been taken to mitigate the risk.
